Job Designation The Engine Systems Division of Meggitt is comprised of 4 Product Groups:
Flow Control, Engine Composites, Engine Sensing and Thermal Systems. Based in North Hollywood, California , our Flow Control Product Group is looking for a dynamic HR Director who will be responsible for ongoing HR strategy and functional support for the business in addressing its various people needs. As a key member of the Product Group Leadership Team, the breadth of job duties include development and implementation of People Strategy, including all HR Programs, Culture and engagement initiatives, as well oversight of recruitment, new hire on-boarding, labor relations, union activities, reporting and compliance, administration of the company ethics program, and providing adherence for established company policies and procedures and all applicable federal and regional laws and regulations. Function as a key strategic partner to Product Group General Manager focusing on senior leadership team development, site turn around initiatives, and business continuity requirements to achieve financial obligations. Job Core Responsibilities oManage and Lead the HR team on site oHR Partnership with Site Leadership Team to provide subject matter expertise and coaching oOversee, implement, manage and lead:
Talent management and succession planning. HR Program delivery:
Engagement, D&I, Culture, Performance, Recognition, employee leadership development Manage all HR cycles (pay, bonus, performance, goal setting etc) Employee relations Labor relations Total Reward administration (in collaboration with Total Reward Center of excellence) Policy administration All day to day HR items oOrganizational development and strategic development of the site teams. oDesignated Ethics Coordinator for the site. Facilitates the Ethics Program, training and investigations of reported events. oManages risk for the organization and ensures compliance with all Federal and State laws (terms, leaves, employee relations matters, etc.) Keeps abreast of current labor laws and changes. oManage the UAW process and guidelines and attend monthly meetings with General Manager and ensure action items are completed. oResponsible for the all recruitment activity on the site, in collaboration with central Talent Acquisition partners oResponsible for managing and resolving employee relations matters. Conducts investigations and individual employee counseling meetings as needed. Manage the progressive disciplinary action process. oResponsible for the HR portion of the High Performance System (HPS) projects and tasks and provide updates at the Daily Layered Accountability (DLA) board. oPrepare monthly data and reports for Monthly HR reports, Site Review and attend Monthly Site Review meetings. oResponsible for monthly costs and annual budget for Human Resources. oLeads the Employee Engagement Committee and meets on a quarterly or as needed basis. oOversee the Worker's Compensation and LOA program and provides guidance to the HR Generalist on how to proceed with claims. oEnsures compliance of all regulatory documents within the HR department (new FMLA forms, new LOA laws, Federal/State legal updates, etc.) oEvaluate market trends for the industry and organization and make recommendations oAdministers Human Resources policies to the workforce oDefines Human Resources training requirements, while providing necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports. oWorks closely with EHS for safety and health programs, and monitors the tracking of required employee data. Experience:
10 - 15 years of Human Resources or relevant experience Skills:
oFunctional expertise in all areas of human resources management including talent acquisition, employee relations, labor relations organizational development, HR programs, compensation, benefits and compliance with government laws/regulations as appropriate for the business location oAbility to anticipate internal or external business challenges/regulatory issues and make recommendations oExcellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation oAbility to direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment oDemonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance oExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience oProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Generalists & Business PartnersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
