Job Summary The primary purpose of a Chocolate Associate is to assist with the packaging, production, and sanitation as it relates to various parts of the chocolate production process.
You will be tasked to understand the role of bulk ingredients and execute recipes and finished coating processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
All your tasks must be conducted in accordance with our safety procedures, and you will be trained to competency in material handling.
The Chocolate Production Associate must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a team attitude in all actions taken.
Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities ? Packaging:
Operate all packaging equipment to ensure product meets customer standards and complete all required paperwork and checks.
Conduct hand packaging, hand stickering, and hand labeling of final goods as needed.
Packaging will also include the aggregation of finished packaged goods into case-packs that will need to be assembled - filled - and then packed into master cases.
? Assisting with prepping:
Cook and Pre-weigh syrups for coating process, add bulk ingredients to bulk tank by hand ? Assisting with Coating:
Read recipe and add ingredients to mixer(panner) by hand ? Inspect product for color, shape, and size issues during process and final product.
? Sanitation:
Utilize correct cleaning procedures to complete production and non-production cleaning responsibilities.
Set up, tear down, and clean tanks, pipes, pumps, and plates.
? Move ingredients in and out of racking, utilizing inventory management system, to achieve proper product rotation procedures.
? Maintain proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to earplugs, glasses, coats, hairnets, face masks Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ? 1
year of Chocolate(Panning) experience desired ? The ability to consistently lift up to 55 pounds.
? Stand and walk for entire shift.
? Work with allergens, such as wheat, milk, etc.
? Positive, can-do attitude and flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
? Accuracy and attention to detail ? Demonstrate range-of-motion, strength, and physical stamina needed to safely perform the job in fast-paced work environment.
? Remain alert to safety hazards, maintain attention to stay on task, manage time effectively, and work independently and in a team to complete assigned tasks.
? Comfortable working with heavy machinery, high capacity melters, rotating panners ? Maintain proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to earplugs, glasses, coats, hairnets, face masks Here at Sunderstorm Inc.
