Policy and Procedures Writer

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will compose, maintain, and clarify the policies and procedures of the agency. Additionally there is a responsibility of writing, updating and rolling out departmental policy/procedure manuals. Beyond introducing new rules, policies, and procedures this position will ensure the implementation of new and revised policies and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS &
Qualifications:

High School Diploma Required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must possess valid California Driver's license and state required registration and insurance.
CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation) or similar accreditation familiarity, a strong plus

DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
All of the responsibilities listed below are considered essential functions of this position. Additionally, this position is expected to ensure that the core operating values and the strategic direction of the agency are adhered to.
Policies/Procedures must be written in a simple and clear manner so that they can be easily understood by every employee. Additionally, the policy/procedure should be comprehensive to address questions or situations that may arise.
Must maintain policy/procedure manuals accurately and maintain files of all updates, revisions, and deletions.
This position must ensure that policy/procedure is not contradictory to any departmental or agency guidelines or objectives. This includes ensuring that policy is both in line with the agency mission and with all applicable laws and contract regulations.

Position will require legal research or consultation.

If not already, became familiar with CARF requirements for agency accreditation.

As needed, train staff members on new/revised policies.

Assist with any additional needs of agency towards accreditation.

Arrange work schedule or required hours to the benefit of the Agency

Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing

Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and management

Conduct all functions in accordance with The Village guidelines, policies, procedures and ethical standards

Confidentiality and Privacy
Adheres to all legal parameters for ensuring and maintaining clients' confidentiality including HIPAA, State and Federal laws.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
