Bookkeeper/Accountant - $48,000 + Full Benefits!

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Assist the CEO and CFO in all duties related to accounting and financial statement preparation with the main emphasis on accounts payable, payroll, cash reconciliations in conformance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of time sensitive accounting and clerical duties to maintain and update the organization's records.
Process vendor invoices, line item classifications, prepare checks for review prior to signature by the CEO and/or CFO.
Mail signed checks and supporting documents on a timely basis, maintain filing systems. Maintain detailed schedules as requested.
Assist with preparation of financial audits. Process daily cash receipts, and reconcile bank accounts.
Complete monthly accounts receivable billing.
Track agency contracts. Perform a variety of office administrative duties including cross-training with payroll, HR and credentialing to serve as back up.
Maintain a working knowledge of and abide by the Agency's programs, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree in Accounting or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, with two years related experience or 4 years of related experience.
Knowledge of QuickBooks and HR/Insurance functions a plus. Must be able to communicate (both written and oral) with program staff and outside agencies in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner and follow all applicable regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local).
Must have a strong mathematical aptitude, work with figures accurately, have proficient calculator skills, data entry experience and organizational skills.
Proficient experience with automated accounting software, spreadsheet and word processing software required. Equal Opportunity Employer
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
