Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Description
The Work Cell Manager works directly with the Operations Manager, Cell Planner and area/work center Leads to effectively and efficiently schedule the day-to-day operation of the Work Cell(s).
Responsible For:
Ensure work cell equipment and resources are managed to meet daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly Throughput, Shipping and Productivity Targets.
Use Daily Flex Report and the Staffing Report to track and plan personnel according production plans
Review Priority Dispatch Report to ensure past due work orders are prioritized and completed
Prepare and communicate daily results and challenges at the daily Line Walk.
Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Communicate with Program Manager, Program Coordinators, Cell Managers Planner and Quality as required to provide data, and resolve operational issues.
Identify, research, and coordinate plans to resolve any Hold issues
Maintain Quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards, and participate in MRB team meetings
Develop and Manage plans to limit Scrap and Rework
Elevates production issues to Operations Manager
Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintain adequate staff levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees;
Resolve Personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
Maintain Safe and Clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all PPE, control points, and equipment; maintaining compliance with established Safety policies and procedures
Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Work with Cell manager to build and promote a lean culture through the use of tools such as 5S, 7 wastes, kaizen, PDCA, kanban, takt, etc
5+ years of manufacturing supervisor, scheduling/planning experience, Aerospace Industry preferred.
College Degree in Engineering or Science Preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with ERP Systems and Microsoft office products
Ability to effectively communicate with Cell Managers, Cell Schedulers, Planners, Program Coordinators and Operators.
Ability to manage and track multiple priorities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
